Her research studies the multimodal properties of language and how they interact with communication and human language development. An applied branch of her research investigates the cognitive benefits of multimodal training that includes prosody and gesture in first and second language development. Part of his research is devoted to the development of tools applied to the improvement of language and communication in typical and atypical populations. La seva recerca se centra en la multimodalitat, i en concret, en com es relaciona aquesta habilitat amb les habilitats ling\u00fc\u00edstiques i en com la multimodalitat pot ajudar a millorar les habilitats discursives i comunicatives, tant en el desenvolupament t\u00edpic com at\u00edpic. Ha realitzat la seva tesi doctoral sobre l\u2019impacte que t\u00e9 la realitat virtual en la comunicaci\u00f3 oral d\u2019estudiants de batxillerat. Actualment est\u00e0 duent a terme un postdoc a la University of Southern Denmark (SDU) que t\u00e9 per objectiu la creaci\u00f3 i desenvolupament d\u2019una aplicaci\u00f3 de realitat virtual per fomentar i refor\u00e7ar l\u2019aprenentatge d\u2019habilitats orals a estudiants de secund\u00e0ria. A m\u00e9s a m\u00e9s, imparteix formaci\u00f3 per al professorat de diferents nivells educatius per a l\u2019aplicaci\u00f3 de l\u2019oralitat a les aules.
